I don't consider myself a writer, but I do see the world in words. I am often tempted to put down on paper what I see, hear or feel. I write to process my thoughts and am forever guilty of over analysis. Despite this love affair with words, I don’t see myself ever doing "this writing thing" professionally. That I currently spend my life slaving in a research lab working on breast cancer is good enough support for that theory!

Maybe I'm just a person with a writer's soul. But I must borrow from Anais Nin if I am to talk about the writer in me:

“We write to taste life twice, once in the moment and once in retrospection.  We write to be able to transcend our life, to reach beyond it. We write to teach ourselves to speak to others, and to record the journey into the labyrinth.”
