In case our members would no longer like to receive forum announcements via email, they can disable those announcements by following the steps below:

1. Click the Profile tab
2. Click on the "Notifications and Email" link under the 'Modify Profile' heading box.
3. Uncheck the first checkbox "Receive forum announcements and important notifications by email".

But a word of caution: should our website be closed for maintenance or a server error occur, you won't be notified of that either.

So there you go: if ever you need an out, you should know that there is one.

Hi TJ. Your karma doesn't really mean anything besides fellow members liking or disliking something you have said/written etc. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

As far as not getting critique on poetry goes, be patient! Someone will get to your poems soon enough. It usually helps if you post one piece and then wait for commments on it before you put another one up.
